​​Being around dogs is where I find peace and happiness. The energy they bring, coupled with the realization that every dog is unique and special, fills me with joy.
In 2019, I joined Mini Mutts as an employee for Molly Miller. Shortly after, I was given the incredible opportunity to take over the business with Leilonie Davis. From that moment on, I’ve dedicated my life to Mini Mutts. This place isn’t just a job for me; it’s my second home. If you’re a dog lover, you can understand how lucky I am to have a job where I can play and care for these adorable little pups. Every dog I encounter holds a special place in my heart. I have three fur babies of my own, one of whom I adopted through our daycare.
A bit about me: I was born and raised in Tacoma, Washington. I graduated from Mount Tahoma High School in 2012 and attended Tacoma Community College for a couple years. After that, I worked as a caretaker and started working for Rover, where I walked dogs and provided dog-sitting services for families. I’ve also volunteered at various humane societies in the Washington/Oregon area.
My dream is to expand Mini Mutts to different locations throughout Pierce County. Most daycares mix various breeds and sizes, which can be overwhelming for small dogs. Mini Mutts offers a sense of relief to our small dog parents, knowingthat their dogs will only be around smaller dogs. This unique aspect of our daycare makes it truly special.

Leilonie Davis

The lady with the handsome long haired dachshund named Snoopy. Yep that’s me! My love for animals has been quite the journey. Starting at the age of 2, being the toddler who had no fear getting ecstatic over any animal I crossed paths with. Then at 8 getting to be the kid who rescued her first lab fur baby right here in town from the Tacoma humane society. From there I became the pre teen who was nose deep into dog training books longing to someday work with them. To then enrolling into the Puyallup skill center pre vet tech program during high school for the experience and college credit. And soon after graduation I was the young woman who came across this gem of a business, Mini mutts. I worked under the original owner for years as she became a mentor of mine to learn all the tips and tricks. At the time I also worked as an assistant at a local vet clinic. Mini Mutts quickly became a place I cherish. From the amazing kind hearted parents I have met. To the loving connections I have shared with each dog. Since then me and Jessica have taken things under our own wings. I’m very proud of the 2nd home we get to provide for so many local pups.

Our social club is conveniently located in downtown Tacoma and locally owned by two experienced dog loving individuals Jessica White and Leilonie Davis. Mini Mutts daycare has been around for about 9 years. The only daycare in Tacoma that caters to smaller dogs 30lbs and under. We love and cherish the work we do here at Mini Mutts.
